Volunteer Roles
Young or old, individuals or groups, organizations or corporations, a wide variety of opportunities are available for serving the preserves. Browse the descriptions below to see what people are doing, but remember, imagination is the only limitation.

Ecological Stewardship Volunteers
Every weekend year round, hundreds of people are out cutting brush, gathering seeds, and enjoying each other’s company while restoring health to the woodlands, prairies, and wetlands of the forest preserves.  More...

Preserve Keepers Corps
Church groups, neighborhood clubs, schools, scout groups, families, and individuals. Long-term adoption of a specific preserve, trail, stream, picnic grove, or shoreline with the purpose of keeping them user and habitat friendly. Minimum commitment is litter pick-up four times a year.  More...
